Is it R-I-A or is it diaRIA?

For years now I have always thought that Rich Internet Applications where referred to in short as RIA by sounding out each letter in the acronym  R-I-A. Lately I have been hearing people sounding it out how it is spelled phonetically, ria… as in diarrhea. Which is why it kind of bothers me. I don’t want the type of applications I develop to rhyme with a nasty bowel movement. I guess I will see how people in the RIA community end up saying it overall in the long run.
